The town hall meeting of the Federation of Circles and Solitaries on 3-24-04 was mostly about FOCAS.
Administrator - Jude Howison - I will follow up on the suggestion by Rob to check the Ann Arbor Parks dept. newsletter for community service projects for the summer.
Scribe - Jude Howison - No report.
Pursewarden - Rod Cox - Income for March actually exceeded expenses!
Chronicler - Gen Stoyak - Great material for newsletter! There are plans for another issue of Shiny Late Newts.
Public Relations - (none) - Rob reports that our announcement in Currents should be in next month.
Youth Activities Coordinator - (none) - Rob reports that there is a Youth Program under construction through the Parents group of ADF.
Web Master - Rob Henderson - Domain renewal of $15 is due, -- renewal was approved. The web site is pretty much up-to-date.
Magicians - Rod Cox - Nice Guild day.
Healers - Rod Cox - There was an ear candling demo and experiment to compare the effectiveness of ear candling.
Warriors - Rod Cox - A throwing workshop revealed that Gen has a natural skill at throwing sharp objects.
Producers - Gen Stoyak (Pro-tem) -- Guild plans to work on amulets for the car blessing.
1. Fund raising - Cont. discussion as to where we are on these projects.
Car Blessing.......
Some ideas for the car blessing amulets: Rune disc, garlic clove (no really,
it doesn't smell that bad), colored yarn, ashes from the sacred fire. It is
planned to charge $5.00 for the amulet and blessing.
2. Planting the Grove's wheat.
The plot at 7Gen is picked. The tentative prep and planting dates are April
25 & 26. Gen will see if we can borrow her mother's tiller.
3. Call for volunteers for election committee?
No volunteers yet.
4. Planning for Lugh Fest? Same as last year? Bigger? Smaller?
The site is reserved for Aug. 7 and has been paid for.
Dot has volunteered (stop
twisting her arm so hard!) to be the official Bar-B-Q er.
We will need to call for workshops.
Do we want to do the ADF Unity Rite?
Adjourned : 8:55 pm
