SLG Business Meeting

July 6, 2004

Called to order around 7:30pm
In Attendance: Rob Henderson, Jude Howison, Gen Stoyak and Rodney Cox

Officer Reports

Senior Druid - Rob Henderson -- Turn-out at the Summer Sol. ritual was 33. Ritual went very well and seemed to be enjoyed by all. There were 18 people participating in the ritual we held at the Pagan picnic. Rob wants to schedule more visits to our Mananan shrine. Most people who have attended reported positive and satisfying experiences.

Administrator - Jude Howison -- Not much to report. Summer seems to be very quiet.

Scribe - Jude Howison -- Minutes are up-to-date. As soon as we find out what is going on with Oak Leaves, Jude would like to send in Grove news reports.

Pursewarden - Rod Cox -- Unfortunately, we seem to have spent more than we took in.

Chronicler - Gen Stoyak -- In an effort to reduce costs, we may print the newsletter on a home computer. Another idea is to change the newsletter into a simple single sheet fold-over.

Public Relations - (none) -- Rob reports that we have an ad in with Crazy Wisdom. Rodney is planning to visit Cedar Light Grove on a Druid exchange program.

Youth Activities Coordinator - (none)

Web Master - Rob Henderson -- Updates are behind a little but Rob is working on it.

Guild Leader Reports

Magicians - Rod Cox

Healers - Rod Cox

Warriors - Rod Cox

Producers - Gen Stoyak (Pro-tem) -- The Guild is planning to create a line of soft sculpture diety dolls. Also the responsability for producing Grove necklaces will be shifted to the Producers Guild, Gen will allow free use of her supplies and tools for this purpose.

Other Agenda Items

1. Fund raising - Ideas for the Fall months?

Tabled.

2. Community Service project ideas for this quarter.

Two votes for collecting for the Humane Society as this was well accepted by members at the Yule rite. We may donate to Howell Nature center as an alternate animal related agency.

3. Lughfest. How are workshops comming? Do we need more advertising?

We are listed on local e-mail lists. There are no workshops scheduled yet. Rodney has agreed to lead a guided meditation focused on Ana.

4. Election committee? How is the election process coming?

There have been no nominations as of yet.

5. Witch's Ball advertising.
