The Shining Lakes Grove Healers' Guild provides education and support for anyone interested in alternative forms of healing. We will also provide healing assistance for those who request it, either through treatment or referrals. And we provide first aid services at Grove High Day rites.
We meet on Guild Day, which is held on the first Sunday of each month. Guild Day is held at Rodney Cox's house (263 Larkspur, Ann Arbor). Our Guild's meeting time is from 3 to 4 PM.
We offer workshops on various forms of alternative medicine. Past workshops have included aromatherapy, energy work, herbalism, music therapy, and Reiki. We also give folks a chance to "talk shop" with others who are interested in alternative medicine.
Just fill out the application (you can find it on our Web page at http://www.msen.com/~robh/slg/healer.html or ask us for a copy) and present it at a Healers' Guild meeting. The Guild members who are present will vote on whether to accept you. (Don't worry, we haven't turned anyone down yet!)
None whatsoever. We want to provide inexperienced folks with the opportunity to learn. Of course, if you are experienced, that's great! Our only requirement is that you have to be a member of Shining Lakes Grove.
We have a system where members can reach various ranks (Journeyman Healer, Senior Journeyman Healer, Full Healer, Senior Healer, and Master Healer) through healing practice, and by presenting workshops and book reports at Guild meetings. Participation is not required to be a Guild member. For details on the requirements for each rank, consult the bylaws on the Guild web page, or check with the Guildmaster.
As of this writing (February 2003) the officers are:
