Minutes of the SLG Healers' Guild, September 13th, 1998

Members present: Raven Hecate-Ana Spiritdancer, Rob Henderson, Don Clayton, Rod Cox, Kore'

The meeting was called to order by Raven.

Old Business

Raven pointed out that, this being our first official meeting since April, this was our first chance to elect a Guild Pursewarden. Don and Rod were nominated. The election was conducted by written ballot.

GUILD PURSEWARDEN ELECTION RESULTS:

• Don Clayton - 3 votes
• Rod Cox- 1 vote
• (1 abstention)

Congratulations (if that's the word) to our new Pursewarden, Don!

Rob proposed an amendment to the Guild by-laws to make it less difficult for the Guild to meet quorum at meetings.

MOTION: That the Guild by-laws be amended to include the follow new section:

Section XII - Membership Status

There shall be two levels of membership status in the Guild: "active" and "inactive". All members begin their membership with "active" status. After missing three consecutive scheduled Guild meetings, their status changes to "inactive". Inactive members do not count toward quorum. An inactive member will have their status changed to "active" as soon as they have attended two consecutive scheduled Guild meetings.

and that the senctence in Section VI that reads:

A quorum of fifty percent of current Guild members is required to conduct official business but not to conduct lectures.

be amended to read:

A quorum of fifty percent of current active Guild members is required to conduct official business but not to conduct lectures.

Motion to approve (Kore', Rod): approved 5-0

New Business

The Guild's annual elections will be held at the November meeting. Nominations should be received by the end of the October meeting.

We sold $12 in Guild regalia at the Lughnasadh festival. Hurray! The money is being held in the Grove bank account.

Rod announced that he had received his third level Reiki attunement, and will be providing first level attunements at the Guild's October meeting. He will be charging $50 for non-Guild members. Those who are not Guild members should contact Rod at (734) 697-2514 to register.

Motion to close the meeting (Kore', Don): approved 5-0
