"Homemade, all-natural, and possessed of an ancient crafting pedigree, salt dough is easy to mold and sculpt into items that are decorative or functional, or both. Possible projects include candleholders, ornaments, statuettes, dishes, animal figurines, or even runestones. They can be offered in ritual or taken home for your personal altars. Feel free to bring your own cookie cutters and/or molds, objects to press into the dough to make patterns or impressions, or any personal sculpting tools you may have. We may try to harden them by the fire, or Gen will take them home to bake in a proper oven. (Please note that while materials are provided, any donations would be welcome to help cover the cost.)"
8:30 to 9 PM - Ana Meditation - led by Rodney Cox
9 PM - Greek Prayer Ritual - led by Genevieve Stoyak. "To the ancient Greeks, a proper prayer was accompanied by purification, sacrifice, and all the other usual elements of ritual. And they had absolutely no qualms about flattering the gods with praises and then asking for favors in the same breath. In this ritual, we will follow a modified ADF ritual structure with offerings to the Greek gods at every step. For the main sacrifice, we will offer prayer tablets (inscribed beforehand); a typical prayer tablet would ask a god for a blessing and then promise something in return. A formal oath may be made in this way, as well. Please note that if you participate in this ritual you are not required to make an oath! You may instead inscribe a simple prayer, blessing, or wish on your tablet and offer it to the gods. There is a formal part to be said aloud, but you do not have to speak of anything that is private between you and the gods. In addition, though we are invoking the Greek deities for purposes of the ritual, and calling on the Sky, Seas, and Earth as witnesses, you may also call upon your own gods for your individual offering."
