Magicians' Guild Minutes - December 20th, 1998

Present: Rob, Rod & Liz, Jim Hoyt, Howard & Michelle

We lit a candle and had a group check-in.

Rec'd application from Lisa Kamp and voted her in.

Sigils: on-going discussion of what to use as our group/guild sigil. We decided to keep what we have and fine tune it some more at a later date.

Study program: we are starting a "book-a-month" plan. The first book we will be reading is Isaac Bonewits' Real Magic.

Dues? Might be nice to have a petty cash fund. Howard suggested $1/person each meeting.

Rod did a presentation on Creating Sacred Space with Runes. Recommended reading: Leaves of Yggdrasil by Freya Aswynn.

We discussed keeping a Guild file of all presentations. Each presenter is to submit a written summary of their presentation (may be submitted at a later date). This may be helpful for a later study plan, or just keeping track of topics we've covered!

We also discussed the ethics of magic.

Note: This will be my last entry; I am resigning from the position of scribe. I will try to attend Guild meetings when possible but am unable to be there on a regular basis. I wish everyone the best of luck.
