Magicians' Guild Minutes - March 21st, 1999

Members present: Rodney Cox, Liz Benson, Rob Henderson

(Since Chris was absent, Rob took the minutes.)

New business:

Rod proposed an amendment to the guild by-laws, to change Section I to read:

"The mission of the Magicians' Guild is to study, practice and teach the traditional arts called magic, especially as practiced by the cultures of the Indo-European peoples.

The Guild will combine the best research into the actual magical work of the ancients with modern mystical and occult practices to construct working systems of magic for Our Druidry. While we realize that we may never know what the magic of the ancients was really like, we affirm that our intention is to create systems that our predecessors would recognize and approve.

The Guild will work hand-in-hand with the ADF Study program, providing training and mentorship in the various magical arts to ADF's members. Our Magicians will work in service to ADF, both in ceremony and in the common lives of our members."

We will vote on this amendment at the April meeting.

We also discussed a knowledge set for our local guild's study program We will discuss this further at the April meeting.

After the business meeting was closed, Rod led a workshop on elemental magic, including elemental meditations.
